With May blossom flowering in the Cornish hedgerows and Wild Carrot on the clifftops, it’s almost not necessary to buy in any flowers from the nurseries. Nature seems to have a way of providing the perfect distribution of colours; you only have to look at the bluebells and campions with a sprinkling of stitchwort in between to see the wonderful balance of colours and textures. I’ve used whites, creams and pale peach flowers with the addition of some blues in the last few arrangements I’ve made and added fresh green beech leaves as a backdrop.
